Great site and great staff! Very helpful and friendly!!!
The unit needs some updating. The screen door leadin out of the living room very difficult to use, The master bedroom bed way past its prime. The balcony floor needs to be updated. You do not see these things when checking units out from the pictures. We have stayed in the Plaza many times.
This place has spectacular direct ocean front views. Loved sitting on the balcony and listening to the ocean and lovely live music from 4:00 - 7:00pm. It's quiet and the guests are pleasant. The amenities were great! When the four elevators work, the place runs like a charm.
The unit while updated needs some tlc as there were several issues we experienced such as the rusting of the living room door handle. Most frustrating was being locked in the unit because the top lock was broken. This was a known issue before we stayed there. We also had to wait a few days for a replacement tv remote as it was missing.
One day the building fire alarms went off for well over an hour (they are piercing!) and another day, one of the four elevators was out of order with some poor person stuck in it for 45 minutes. It was not as carefree a time as I would have liked.
L&F tried to take care of the unit issues as they arose but, frankly, blaming guests for being locked into the unit which is a safety issue is just plain wrong.
That said, I would stay at The Plaza again.
