Avg. Rating:Trip Cut Short due to conditions of the Unit: We left this Unit 3 nights into our stay discovering mold coming out of outlet behind bed in bedroom closest to main room and RUNNING WATER coming out of that outlet. This Unit would be receiving 1 star if it weren't for the fact that Lyndon Johnson, our Long & Foster Agent, worked with us and the Owner to refund the remaining nights of our stay. However, this does not absolve the state of Unit itself which was unfit for dwelling. In addition to the health and safety issue listed, there were other problems: -Very dirty floors and fridge. -Cable not working correctly. -Front door not stable (gap in door). -outlets not working in bathrooms. -wifi not fully reaching furthest room.
Hi Matt, We are very sorry your vacation was cut short due to the property plumbing issue. A bathroom remodel created unknown issues that unfortunately became obvious during your stay. The owner has since completed an extensive clean up along with repairs to correct these issues. Please accept our sincere apologies and hope you will consdider returning to Fenwick Island soon.
Can’t beat the location for beach access. The unit itself seems to be in mid renovation. Icemaker was broken, wood trim throughout the house was incomplete, furniture was heavily stained and ripped, incomplete floor tile in the kitchen. Unit was not cleaned when we arrived.
The highlight of our week in #1 Shoals was definitely the beach, it could not be topped! The 2 things about this condo that renters should be aware of is that there are no water views from it; and if you need soft-ish mattresses you may be uncomfortable. Lastly, We rented during COVD, which Long and Foster claims to do extra cleaning. When we arrived Saturday evening the condo was disgustingly dirty. It had not been cleaned at all. We left two phone messages for Long and Foster right away, but did not get a call back until the next day, offering to send the cleaner back sometime during the week....
